AFTER FOUR YEARS, ART MATTERS MOVES TO MAIN STREET
While we have loved the little house at 718 State Street, which has been a studio, gallery and art school for many young people over the past four years, we are excited about relocating to 310 East Main Street. Art lessons for children will take place in the new location right after Labor Day weekend, beginning on Tuesday, September 8, 2015! We understand it will be an adjustment for children who love routine and familiarity and remember good times during Summer Art Camps in the little house. However, as young artists grow, they need more space. The new place provides that and students can look forward to having their own art works hung in a new gallery downtown. The new space has been completely renovated by a local architect- making it a perfect place to inspire creativity. It is also in close proximity to Fountain Square Park (for painting en plein air), yet still near enough to Circus Square Park for art campers to go to the fountains during the summer. Visit a new Art Matters Community Studio and Gallery and find that same warm and friendly environment with a wealth of new and fun art activities for children as well as changing gallery exhibits and events for adults!
